One of my goals for 2018 is to simplify my wardrobe. I have been in dire need of a major clean out, and to just add a few quality pieces to my closet. Pieces that are more universal and can be worn for many different occasions! I’m all about getting the best bang for my buck. Fashion has always been something I was intrigued with; I never really gravitate towards things that are too simple (I guess you can say I like to stand out from the crowd lol).
A brief little history; I had planned to study fashion design at FIDM before I chose to attend MUD (Makeup Designory). I was really torn between the two, but could only chose one. Being that I had already had my Cosmetology License at this point I felt the best career move would be to go the beauty path. With that being said, I now dabble in my own style of fashion — mixing and matching different patterns and textures. Starting this blog & sharing my secrets just felt like the right thing to do. If anyone is to take anything away from my content, I hope that it just inspires someone to always be themselves. Never feel ashamed or embarrassed to be different than others, that is what sets you apart from the rest anyhow! If we were all the same, it would be hard to express our own uniqueness.
Now to get into the details of this outfit! For starters, I am a bargain shopper. I am also a HUGE believer in recycling clothing. Which is why some of my favorite stores to shop at are: Buffalo Exchange, Crossroads Trading Co, Runway Fashion Exchange & yes sometimes even Goodwill has some good finds! The faux fur vest is by Sanctuary Clothing but I recently got it at Buffalo Exchange in Ventura for $17! My distressed jeans are by Zara Denim they were $14 & they are also from Buffalo Exchange is Ventura (I found them at the same time). My blouse is from Anthropologie and by Holding Horses it was $23 (it’s a superrrr soft and cozy shirt!) My shoes are from Target (one of my absolute favorite places to shop ever; like seriously keep me out of that store I cannot contain myself lol) they are by “A New Day” one of Target’s newest brands. These are what I call my “Gucci Dupes” and they are super comfy & to top it all off they were only $28 like a fraction of the real ones! My necklace is by Serefina also from Anthro & I got it for $11. Lastly my hat (I seriously think everytime I wear this thing I get a compliment and it’s the least expensive thing I have on in this entire outfit lol) it was $7 on clearance at H&M. I freaking love this hat though, its been a great staple piece in my wardrobe now for quite sometime. So needless to say I love a good sale, and it’s hard for me to pass up a good deal! But hey who doesn’t like a good deal??!
